Other grant participation of the elderly

The grant is a one-time appreciation for foundations, associations, interest groups and individuals to get older people actively involved in society.
You can apply for a grant for a temporary project or a one-time activity. The activities must take place in Heerlen.

Approach

You can apply for this grant once a year. Apply for it on time. We reserve a fixed amount per year for this subsidy.
If you do not fill in the data or if the attachments are missing, this may affect the amount of the subsidy.

Description

Many things are possible with this grant, as long as they are innovative initiatives. It does not have to be exclusively for the elderly.
Especially the connection between old and young is important to us. For example:

  • An event in which the elderly perform a song or play with schoolchildren.
  • A course in which older people share their life experiences or talents.
  • An event where it's about moving, cooking, eating together.

Terms

The main conditions are:

  • The activities are in Heerlen.
  • The activities fit within our policies.
  • You show that you can carry out the purpose with your money and the grant to be awarded.
  • You explain how to proceed.
  • Everyone within the target group should be able to participate in the activities. Without regard to philosophy of life, race or sexual preference. Exceptions are activities with an emancipatory purpose.
  • The activities are not contrary to law, public interest and/or public order.

The college may stipulate that you must join an umbrella organization. There may also be additional conditions per social area. Check the various policies for this.

Term

The municipality will make a decision on your application within 12 weeks of the deadline.
