Subsidy for the AED (defibrillator)

May the Heerlen Resuscitation Network use your AED? It is important that emergency responders can always use your AED when necessary. Therefore, choose an outdoor protective cabinet. This way, the AED can be used freely 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The municipality will reimburse the costs of using your AED.

Call the municipality. We will send you an application form. Send the completed form by mail, email it, or hand it in at the counter.

The municipality wants to improve the availability of AEDs. It is important that emergency responders can always use your AED when needed. Therefore, choose an outdoor protective cabinet. This way, the AED can be used freely 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What costs do we reimburse?

Are you registered with the Resuscitation Network? We provide a subsidy for the purchase of the protective cabinet and you can claim the costs for using the AED: 

  • You will be reimbursed for half of the cost of purchasing a protective cabinet. You will receive a maximum of €400 (excluding VAT).
  • After your AED has been used by the network, you can claim the costs of making your AED ready for use again from Ambulancezorg Limburg.

Requirements

  • Register your AED on the HartslagNu website.
  • Hang your AED in a protective cabinet outside and Health it is freely available for use by the Heerlen Resuscitation Network.
  • The AED can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event of cardiac arrest.

Term

The municipality will make a decision within 12 weeks.

Objections and appeals

Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? You can object to the decision on your application within six weeks. Do you disagree with the decision? You can appeal to the court within six weeks.
