The mayor may impose a 10-day restraining order in cases of (imminent) domestic violence or (a serious suspicion of) child abuse. If necessary, the mayor can extend the ban to a maximum of four weeks. At that time, assistance for the victim(s) and perpetrator(s) also starts.
