Compulsory education and dropping out of school
Your child must attend school from the age of 5 to 16. This is called compulsory education. After the age of 16, the qualification requirement applies. Your child must then attend school until:
- he or she has a degree, or
- he or she turns 18
Is your child leaving school without a diploma?
Please contact the Learning and Advancement Office. They will assist you further. In some cases, you can also apply for an exemption there.
