The "Room for Entrepreneurship" subsidy scheme applies to various types of businesses:

• retail trade
• hospitality industry
• service provision 

The municipality will provide a subsidy of €6,000 per company or entrepreneur. The aim of this scheme is to strengthen these areas and stimulate entrepreneurship in Heerlen.

You will receive half of the amount when you open the business. The other half will be paid after a certain period of time.

These include the Requirements receiving a contribution:

• The scheme only applies to the use of vacant buildings.
• Your business premises are located within the designated areas in the center of Heerlen, Hoensbroek, Heerlerheide, or Heerlerbaan-De Bautsch.
• Your company is located on the ground floor of a building.
• You must submit a substantiated business plan with your application.
