7 certificates for 'Extraordinary Heerleners'

On Friday, Jan. 31, we highlighted 6 Exceptional Heerleners. One of the Bijzondere Heerlenaren was already put in the limelight on January 17. We see these Bijzondere Heerlenaren as ambassadors of the municipality of Heerlen through their efforts, special achievement or positive activities in the past year. The mayor personally thanked these special residents by surprising them with a bouquet of flowers, an engraved ballpoint pen, the 'Bijzondere Heerlenaar' pin and a certificate. They are a source of inspiration and an example for Heerlen in 2025.
