Birth registration
Did you have a baby? Congratulations!!! You must make the declaration no later than the third working day after the day of birth. You make the declaration at the municipality in which the child was born.
Approach
For digital birth declaration: complete the form (together with your partner , if any ). Confirm the digital birth declaration yourself (single) or by your partner. You will receive one confirmation email with a link. Click on this link and log in with your Digid (single person) or his/her DigiD (partner). Please allow for a delay between logging out and logging in again. Wait 15 minutes before you or your partner log in to DigiD, via the confirmation email! You register the birth with the municipality in which the child was born. You may inscribe your child in the marriage book yourself.
If your child was born lifeless, you cannot make a digital declaration. You make the declaration at the registry office of the municipality where your child was born. You will receive a certificate of birth (lifeless) from the municipality. First make an appointment at the registry office. For more information see: registering a stillborn child. Good luck with coping with this loss.
Would you like a Stamp in the Marriage Book?
Please make an appointment at the civil registry office.
