Do you have green fingers and a big heart for the physical living environment? Do you like to roll up your sleeves and get down to business? Then the position of all-round external service employee is definitely for you! Please respond before October 7, 2024.

Who are you?

  • You preferably have an MBO degree in cultural engineering or green.
  • Relevant work experience as a green or gray employee is a plus.

  • You can take a punch and possess a healthy dose of humor.
  • You have an affinity for greenery and working in public spaces.
  • You are willing to participate in on-call duties.

What will you do?

As an all-round field service employee, you are responsible for handling reports related to public space. You will go out independently or as part of a team and perform various tasks on the instructions of your supervisor. This involves small-scale maintenance in public spaces. These activities may be related to landscaping but certainly also to paving or cleaning. You are a jack of all trades who has no problem rolling up his sleeves. Activities may include:

  •  pruning greenery.
  •  planting of green spaces.
  •  repairing street work.
  •  taking measures to prevent unsafe situations.
  •  cleaning of street gullies.
  •  Identifying and reporting on the state of maintenance of public spaces.
  •  repairing or restoring street furniture.

On the instructions of the manager who directs you, or by looking in the reporting system yourself, you decide which reports have priority. You advise the city manager about the quality of the public space, dangerous situations and possible maintenance.

Your Team

Team city management provides and coordinates the daily maintenance of public spaces, outdoor sports facilities and cemeteries in our city. The aim is a clean and safe city where it is pleasant to stay. This always involves connecting with the needs of residents, businesses and visitors. Most of the work is outsourced. However, in order to optimize service to the residents of our city, a field service team is also part of our team. The core tasks of the team consist of guidance and supervision of outsourced work, handling/processing reports in public space and monitoring the quality of the management of public space.
