Booch? 2025 around and in the Nieuwe Nor on Oct. 4
Free festival Booch? in Heerlen will take place this year on Saturday, October 4. In and around the Nieuwe Nor there will be performances on three stages by new trendsetting Dutch acts such as Min Taka, BUG and Isabèl Usher. There is also a lot of attention for talent development and local talent. The festival is realized in cooperation with SENA Performers and the municipality of Heerlen.
The Heerlen pop festival Booch? is free and targets a young audience. It takes place annually in the center of Heerlen. For the past two years, the festival took place in August on the Bongerd. This year the festival is on Saturday, Oct. 4, in and around the Nieuwe Nor. The all-Dutch lineup consists, in good Booch?-tradition, of trendsetting, genre-transcending new acts such as Min Taka, BUG, Isabèl Usher, ISAÏ, BlackBeach and Sofia Peters. There is also a talent stage with Limburg talent on which, among others, the new Artists in Residence of the Nieuwe Nor present themselves. On the outdoor stage on the Schelmenhofje and in the various other spaces in the Nieuwe Nor we make plenty of room for presenting cultural initiatives.
"We are choosing this year to host a one-time smaller version of Booch? with national and local talent and lots of experience. This form fits best with the many activities this year. We believe in the concept and are working towards organizing a large-scale festival again in the future, Nieuwe Nor director Kees van den Berg explains.
The Nieuwe Nor and the municipality of Heerlen think it is important that a young audience can get acquainted with pop culture in an accessible way. In the Nieuwe Nor, all facilities are present to maintain the core values of Booch? This way, Booch? free and with an appealing program for a young audience.
The program of the main stage of Booch? comes about thanks to a contribution from the Sena Performers Fund that supports projects in the socio-cultural field. Booch? was revived by the Nieuwe Nor in 2023. And for the past two years, it attracted about 10,000 visitors per edition to the festival site on the Bongerd. Headliners included acts such as S10, Brutus, Joey Valence & Brae and Bad Nerves, seen this year at major festivals such as Pinkpop, Down The Rabbit Hole, Rock Werchter and Graspop.
The Booch? website and their social media channels will keep you updated on the program.
