Dog tax control starting March 31
Starting Monday, March 31, BsGW employees will check door-to-door for dog ownership. The inspectors will call at homes to check on dog ownership. When the inspector rings your doorbell, he can identify himself. Ask for proof of identity!
Dog already registered?
Anyone who has one or more dogs is subject to tax. It is required by law to report this. The number of dogs at an address determines the amount of the assessment. The dog tax rate is set by the municipality.
Fine
Does the controller find a dog that has not been reported? Then the inspector will report it. You may also be fined. We advise dog owners who have not yet registered their dog(s) to do so as soon as possible. You will then avoid a fine.
Report via My BsGW
Registering or deregistering a dog can be done quickly and easily in My BsGW You can also report a change in the number of dogs here.
