Saturday, February 14, 2026, is the big day: after years in the theater, the traditional key handover will once again take place in the hall of Heerlen Town Hall. An intimate setting, a seated program, and of course the big question: can Mayor Roel Wever hand over the city key to City Prince Quinten Roel Wever confidence? Order your Maps in time.

Program
During this traditional and humorous ceremony, the City Prince talks about his plans and motto for Carnival 2026. You will also hear about the adventures of the Blauw Sjuut, and there will be contributions from the Rector Magnificus of the NUL and De Dorpsgekke.
