The Kopsalon - Time Distress (March/April/May)
PodcastDate: up to and including

In 2025 we celebrate our freedom that we fought hard for eighty years ago. World War II is already so far behind us that the people who can still tell about it are very small. The eyewitnesses are old, if not ancient. Their stories are of great value: because we must not forget anything and we can learn from their experiences. High time to record them. The Kopsalon is doing this with the project "Time Distress.
Els Huver of De Kopsalon focuses on stories of people who lived through the war in Heerlen with "Time Distress. She is looking for eight Heerlen people who want to share their personal memories. The conversations will be recorded and edited into short audio stories.
These are people with a unique perspective - living heritage - that holds up a mirror to the younger listener and challenges them to look at our times with their perspective. You can listen to the stories in the setting of a 1940s living room, where listeners can also leave their answers to the questions as fuel for discussion and conversation.
Tijdnood we have made together with Sevagram Verwenzorg and travels from March to May along four Sevagram care locations in Heerlen. Everyone is welcome to come and listen.
