Events grant

The municipality of Heerlen sometimes provides grants to organize public events.

Approach

Send along with the application form:

  • Plan of action or program of the event.
  • Letter explaining the event.
  • A good budget with costs and coverage for the event.
  • On the first application, the organization's bylaws. 

You apply for the grant to the municipality 12 weeks before the start of the event. Submit your application on time. Even if the program is not yet fully developed. You may supplement your application with information later.

Description

The municipality can give grants to an organization that wants to host an event. We have a fixed amount available each year for this purpose.

Requirements
  • The event is in Heerlen.
  • The event aligns with the goals, themes and policies of the municipality.
  • The organization has been in existence for at least 1 year and is based in Heerlen.
  • The organization makes the application with a program proposal and budget.
  • Organizers are placing the event on the Heerlen Events Calendar.
Term

The municipality makes a decision within 12 weeks.
