Event subsidy

The municipality of Heerlen sometimes provides subsidies for organizing public events.

Approach

Send an email to request the application form. Include the following with the form:

  • Action plan or program for the event.
  • Letter explaining the event.
  • A sound budget with costs and coverage for the event.
  • The articles of association of the organization with the initial application. 

You must apply for the subsidy from the municipality twelve weeks before the start of the event. Submit your application on time, even if the program has not yet been finalized. You may supplement your application with additional information at a later date.

Description

The municipality can provide subsidies to organizations that wish to organize events. We have a fixed annual amount available for this purpose.

Requirements

  • The event is in Heerlen.
  • The event is in line with the municipality's objectives, themes, and policies.
  • The organization has been in existence for at least one year and is based in Heerlen.
  • The organization submits the application with a program proposal and a budget.
  • The organization will list the event on the Heerlen Event Calendar.

Term

The municipality will make a decision within 12 weeks.
