Approach

Here's how to apply for a collection permit:

  • Contact the municipality.
  • You pass on:
    • the name of your organization
    • The purpose to which the money or items will go
    • Where and when you want to collect or collect

A report fundraiser is free.

Description

National organizations collect according to a fixed schedule. That roster is set by the Central Bureau on Fundraising (CBF) each year.
The CBF also checks that the organizations spend the money collected properly. 

During the free periods in the collection schedule, other organizations are given the opportunity to collect.

Requirements

A collection or fundraising is prohibited if public order, public safety, the (living) environment or public health is endangered. The most important Requirements for raising money are:

  • National organizations may collect according to the Central Bureau of Fundraising's collection schedule
  • Collecting for a cause lasts up to 1 week
  • Local organizations can collect at the same time, but only if the collections are neighborhood-oriented and involve different neighborhoods.
