Group Exhibition at Werkplaats K

The artists’ collective consists of 18 artists from Heerlen and Parkstad. For many years, they were based in an old school building in Kerkrade-West. The building housed numerous studios and exhibition spaces. It also served as a venue for neighborhood activities. It was no coincidence, then, that Werkplaats K’s motto was: “Artists of Value to the Neighborhood.”
A few years ago, the municipality of Kerkrade decided to terminate the lease. All of the artists have found new places to live—though they are now scattered throughout Parkstad.
During the group exhibition in October 2026, half of the member artists will exhibit together in this region for the first time in a while.
Each member will contribute their own work from recent years. A young artist from Heerlen will be responsible for the exhibition’s design Health .
The exhibitors include painters, a sculptor, and photographers. They are also exhibiting mixed-media works. They are: UTA Goebel-Gross, Sabine Jacobs, Danielle Posthumus, Hub Pasmans, Slavko Dujick, Lily Peters, Joris Hilterman, Dean Kisters, and Jos Reinders.
