History of the neighborhood: Zeswegen / New Husken

De Wegwijzer gives students the opportunity to research mining history and understand the change in the neighborhood after the mine closure. They do this by engaging in various activities, entering into discussions with (former) residents and compiling the knowledge gathered in a book. In this way the Heerlen neighborhood history will be preserved for future generations.

The book presentation will take place on March 21, 2025 from 18.30 to 19.00 hours. The location is, of course, elementary school De Wegwijzer. Alderman Jordy Clemens will hand out the first copy.
