On Tuesday, December 23, the historic city cemetery on Akerstraat in Heerlen will once again be enveloped in a warm Christmas atmosphere. From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., thousands of candles, twinkling fire pits, and atmospheric Christmas lights will bring this special place to life.
Around 7 p.m., you can enjoy a beautiful Christmas performance by the vocal ensemble True Devotion. Of course, hot chocolate, mulled wine, and Christmas bread will be available—these will be offered free of charge by volunteers from the Friends of the Heerlen City Cemetery, while supplies last.
You are cordially invited to bring your own lights and add a personal touch. Consider, for example, a glass jar with a tea light.
Come with family or friends and experience an atmospheric evening full of warmth and conviviality. Admission is free.
