Ready to go with thorough greening in Lindeveld
Last week in Lindeveld we presented the final plans for the thorough greening. This approach in the neighborhood is the initiative of the people themselves to get started with facade gardens and the plan of the municipality for more green in the city. Work will start this month and be completed by the end of January.
Green for gray
Together with residents and housing corporations, the residents are implementing the greening plans. All paving without a function will be replaced with greenery and bushes and trees will be added. The current planting will also be upgraded. There will be more room for biodiversity and insects and birds will return to the neighborhood. In Lindeveld, more than 923 m2 of new green space is involved. They are planting more than 24 new trees and shrubs and improving 2200 m2 of green space.
Alderman Marco Peters: “It’s finally starting! This greening will give the neighbourhood a makeover and make it even more beautiful and enjoyable to live in. This also ties in seamlessly with the neighbourhood’s fantastic facade garden initiative. The power lies in the plans that were made together with the residents. APG and Burgstate (Obvion) are also participating. There was a lot of interest during the meeting last week. Together with the neighbourhood, we will achieve maximum results. This is how we will also get started in Eikenderveld and Mariarade-Noord!”
