Launching website Mining Damage Limburg: starting point for recognition, recovery and cooperation
Ten Limburg mining municipalities, the Province of Limburg and the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth (KGG) are kicking off a new phase in tackling mining damage in Limburg. Central to this is the restoration of mining damage in the homes of people in southern Limburg. As a step towards this: the launch of the website www.i3ml.nl of the Institute for Environment, People and Mining Limburg (l3ML) which will open its doors in December 2025. Heerlen will have a physical counter where residents can go with questions or to report damage.
In a joint letter, the mining municipalities, the Province of Limburg and the Ministry of KGG inform their city councils, Provincial States and the House of Representatives of the steps that have been taken in recent months and the final steps still to be taken.
