Ribbon for Anke Peulings

Heerlen resident Anke Peulings has been an active volunteer at both Sevagram and Vereniging de Zonnebloem for more than 15 years. With her efforts she focuses on the most vulnerable groups in society, such as the elderly, rehabilitated people and people with physical disabilities. Because of her dedication and commitment, she is a source of inspiration for many other volunteers.

Since 2009, she works as a volunteer at Sevagram, where she is active at the locations Plataan and Ter Eyck. Here she helps with activities such as "kienen", drinks evenings and the store. she also supports theme afternoons and music activities.

Anke Peulings is also a coordinator with the Heerlen branch of the Zonnebloem. In that role, she is responsible for local activities. She also helps out during vacations for people with physical disabilities.

On September 6, we put Mrs. Peulings in the limelight for her efforts as a volunteer. We will do this during a meeting of the Zonnebloem Heerlen-Noord department for National Day of the Sick.

Mayor Roel Wever presented the royal award during this moment and thanked her warmly for her extraordinary contribution to the lives of so many needy, vulnerable people.
