Ribbon for Els and Wilma

On Saturday, September 21, Mayor Roel Wever presented a ribbon to Els and Wilma. Both ladies received the award for their years of dedication to Neighborhood Association Caumerveld - De Erk. Now that they are retiring, this is a well-deserved recognition of their unbridled dedication. The presentation took place at the Hoeve Corisberg during the 30th anniversary of the neighborhood association.

Els van der Lubben

Els has been involved in the neighborhood association from its inception. She served as a board member for more than 20 years, much of it as treasurer. In addition, she was a member of the activities committee. Her efforts created an association that still exists and connects the new residents. For the first 10 years, Els spent at least 8 hours a week bonding residents and organizing activities. Her contribution has had a great impact on neighborhood cohesion. Although she and her husband are now retiring, Els remains an active member of the neighborhood association and is still willing to help out during activities.

Wilma Suntjens

Wilma has been a member of the neighborhood association for more than 30 years and has devoted all that time as a member of the activities committee and as a board member. She organized numerous activities for young and old, and was at the forefront of putting together a new program each year. Wilma devoted an average of 8-10 hours a week to her volunteer work. Thanks to her efforts, involvement grew within the neighborhood and among the residents. This year Wilma will retire and has plans to travel with her motor home.

Els and Wilma have both had a lasting impact on the neighborhood association and social cohesion in the neighborhood. Their efforts have now been justly rewarded with a ribbon.
