What does the heritage of the future look like?

During My Future we give the stage to the future-makers, thinkers, doers and dreamers of Parkstad Limburg. Speakers, artists, musicians and heritage specialists will join the audience in conversation about one central question: what does the heritage of the future look like? Led by Ruud Kleinen, it will be an inspiring evening of theater full of conversation and music. A search for what we want to preserve, and what we dare to renew.

Panel discussion

Joining the panel are Leonie Kohl (craft writer and heritage expert), Luc Arnoldussen (maker and dancer) and Eva Custers (theater maker). Together - and with the audience - they will explore how we can preserve valuable heritage and make room for innovation. What do you think deserves a place in the future?

Spoken word on tomorrow's heritage

Louie Hamers, city poet of Heerlen, and Yana Wings, junior city poet Heerlen, also share their poetic perspective on the future. In powerful spoken word performances, they make sense of what heritage means to them - now and later.

Live drawing and a time capsule full of ideas

Illustrator Toon Hezemans captures the conversations and ideas live in images. At the end of the evening, his drawings do not disappear: everything said and shared is given a place in a time capsule.

Tickets are available through the theater's website.
