New construction in Hoensbroek: 11 apartments for seniors
The municipality of Heerlen has granted an environmental permit for the construction of 11 senior apartments on a currently undeveloped site on Juliana Bernardlaan in Hoensbroek. These are villa apartments with a classic look, with a platform at the front and many attractive details. The location is unique due to the proximity of both the center with all its amenities and the special environment around Castle Hoensbroek. Construction will start at the end of this year.
By granting this permit, the municipality encourages the flow in the owner-occupied housing market. Seniors can thus take the next step in their housing career, leaving behind a spacious family home. They can choose a spacious apartment that varies in size between approximately 85m2and the 125m2.
Alderman Marco Peters of Spatial Planning: "I am pleased that the construction of these homes will start soon. The construction of more senior housing has high priority in our municipality, and are therefore a welcome addition to the housing market in Hoensbroek. In this way, seniors will find housing that suits their needs more quickly, but will also free up housing for families."
The apartments were designed by architectural firm Coppen of Roermond. "The Juliana Bernhardlaan is a stately avenue where only a stately building is in place, I think the architect and the municipality of Heerlen have succeeded in this just fine."
