Nuisance parked bicycles and mopeds

The municipality wants to reduce the nuisance of unattended bicycles and mopeds in the station area and the guarded bicycle parking area. Please park them in the bicycle shed or in places in town designated for that purpose. They are not allowed in other places.

Description

When do we remove your bicycle/moped?

  • it is not in the bicycle shed or other designated area
  • he is in storage for more than 4 weeks
  • he causes a nuisance

What do the supervisors do?

  • they attach a date label to the bicycle/moped
  • they record the data of bicycle/moped
  • they bring the bike/moped to the storage facility
  • Is the bike/moped stolen? then it goes back to the owner

How do I get my bike/moped back?

  • the municipality keeps your bicycle/moped for 13 weeks 
  • you can pick it up at the depository. Bring the key to the lock with you. Or another piece of evidence that proves you are the owner
  • you must pay the cost of removal

Have you not picked up your bicycle/moped within 13 weeks? Then the municipality will give the bicycle another destination. Ownership will then lapse. We then also report this on the registration form.

Term

You must pick up the (moped) bikes at the storage facility within 13 weeks. After this the ownership of the bicycle expires.

Objection and appeal

You can object to the removal of your bicycle. This can be done up to 6 weeks after the date of the decision.
