Five artists, Marielle Yogi, Nicole Nolde, Belinda Crombach, Peter Lemmens and Andreas Hollands, connect their work to Heerlen's raw, post-industrial past.
They grew up on the move, in culture outside institutions, in bars, on the streets, behind closed mine gates when everything still sounded underground. Their art shows how images can challenge, remind and make noise.

Opening on Nov. 28 as celebration and statement

This night is a celebratory retrospective with DJs Nowy, The Morning Factory and Dreyaz at the turntables. Punk, new wave, disco-funk and house zing through the space, bringing to life the spirit of the time. This is how the artists are bolstering their heritage year finale.

The opening will be done by Theo Ploeg, known as a "renegade sociologist," writer and lecturer at the Maastricht Academy of Art and Studio Hyperspace. He gives context and depth to the opening, with his stories about pop culture, alternative realities and the underground atmosphere of the time.
