Richtig Heële breathes colorful new life into vasteloavend in Heerlen!

Carnival for all

Richtig Heële is committed to a unique, accessible and colorful vasteloavend for everyone, with respect for traditions as well as an eye for innovation. "The municipality of Heerlen has asked us to give the vasteloavend an open character, without losing the foundations of the Heerlen carnival tradition," says chairman Barry Kohlen. "Our ambition is to organize a vasteloavend in the center of Heerlen for the widest possible audience, with events accessible to everyone."

Party for young and old

Heëlesje vasteloavesvierders can look forward to a large canopy on Pancratius Square, where free events such as MiseraBAL and Sjtundje Knipa are scheduled. The Poefelezitting is also part of the program again this year, and for the youngest carnivalists there is Circus Confetti.

Campaign with a distinctive look

To add to the carnival craze in all districts of the city, Richtig Heële has once again released a unique carnival poster for each district. These colorful posters are available for free at various local entrepreneurs in the city. In addition, each district has its own carnival button, with which residents can show their pride in the local vasteloavend. The buttons, like the posters, are available for free from local business owners.

Collaboration strengthens festivities

The foundation works closely with the municipality of Heerlen, carnival association H.V.V. de Winkbülle and the hospitality industry on Pancratiusplein-Zuid. "Thanks to this cooperation, we strengthen the organization of the festivities in the center" says secretary Thijs Grim. "By combining our forces, we ensure that the carnival activities are organized optimally and that the festivities in Heerlen become even more alive."

Treasurer Edda Benders adds, "Thanks to the efforts of all the collaborative partners and volunteers, we are able to keep the festivities in the square open to everyone free of charge."
