School swimming
The municipality Heerlen subsidizes school swimming.
Approach
Children who fall within the target group for school swimming will receive an enrollment form from school.
Fill out the registration form to register your child.
Cost
School swimming is free.
Description
School swimming is after school. We pick up the participating children with buses at the school and bring them to the swimming pool Otterveurdt. After the swimming lesson we bring the children back to school.
The school sends the children, who fall within the target group, a letter with registration form at the beginning of the school year. Parents can register their child for school swimming.
School swimming begins in October.
Terms
The requirements to participate in school swimming include:
- The child is in grade 5 of an elementary school in Heerlen and does not yet have swimming certificate A, B or C.
- The child is in grades 6, 7 and 8 at an elementary school in Heerlen and does not yet have an A swimming certificate.
