Youth sports allowance

All children should be able to be members of an association. This is not possible for all children. The Jeugdfonds Sport can help.

For children from low-income families, the Youth Sports Fund pays:

  • sports association dues
  • and the cost of sports gear

Approach

Parents and young people cannot apply themselves. Please contact the Foundation Leergeld Parkstad. They will do an online application for your child. They do need information from you such as:

  • contact information
  • sports club name
  • What sports equipment is needed
  • and a financial motivation

You can request a contribution to the Youth Sports Fund each year.

You don't get any money yourself. The Jeugdfonds Sport pays the sports club or sports store. Or your child receives a voucher from a sports store. With this the child can choose the sportswear or sports equipment himself.

Another intermediary who is professionally involved in your child's education can also make a request for you. For example, the teacher, youth aid worker, social worker or family doctor. They can apply on the Youth Fund Sport website.

Description

The Jeugdfonds Sport is there for children and young people from 4 to 18 years old. The contribution is a maximum of €225 per child per year. Parents or caregivers must encourage their child to attend classes, trainings and competitions. An intermediary checks whether your child participates in training for a longer period of time.
