Grant for the AED (defibrillator).

Organizations that have an AED (defibrillator) and are committed to the Heerlen Resuscitation Network may be able to receive a grant. The municipality wants this grant to improve the availability (24/7) of AEDs.

Approach

Call for an application form and fill it out. Send the completed form by mail, mail it or drop it off at the front desk.

Description

The municipality provides grants to improve the availability of AEDs in the city. If you have an AED, you can make it available to the Reanimatie Netwerk Heerlen. During a CPR call, citizen responders can deploy this AED to save a life. Does the AED hang inside? Then choose a protective cabinet outside.
This way the AED is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Purpose and amount of the grant

The municipality provides a subsidy for the purchase of a protective AED cabinet. We pay 50% Of the purchase costs up to a maximum of € 400, - excluding VAT.
You do not get a subsidy for the purchase of an AED. There are already many AEDs in Heerlen.
The other costs such as: insurance, maintenance, installation costs are not reimbursed. Those are for the applicant.

Requirements

Grant Requirements are:

  • You make the AED available to the Reanimatie Netwerk Heerlen.
  • You must register the AED in HartslagNu's alarm system.
  • You hang the AED in a protected cabinet outside and provide availability to the Heerlen CPR Network.
  • The AED can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event of cardiac arrest.
  • Does the AED hang inside? Then you can also register the AED with HartslagNu. Mention the opening hours of the location where the AED hangs.

Term

The municipality will make a decision within 12 weeks.

Objection and appeal

Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? You can object to the decision on your application within six weeks. Do you disagree with the decision? You can appeal to the court within six weeks.
