Update: Carnival activities in Heerlen city center
On Sunday evening, February 15, the carnival activities of Richtig Heële on Pancratiusplein were canceled due to heavy snowfall.
Due to the amount of snow, the tent fabric has torn and is no longer usable. Sjtundje Knipa, the event planned for Monday evening, February 16, has also been canceled.
All other activities on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, such as the Light Parade, will go ahead as planned. You can still visit Heerlen city center and the bars to celebrate Carnival. Have fun, and celebrate safely.
