South Limburg safety region launches 'most disastrous app ever'
Receive a notification on your phone when an incident occurs in your area and handy tips to be better prepared for all kinds of incidents. That's the power of the new website and app zuidlimburgveilig.nl from Veiligheidsregio Zuid-Limburg. The app is free to download. Every resident is advised to put the app on their phone in the interest of your own safety and that of your loved ones.

Set your locations
In the app you can choose all the places, which are important to you. Think of the addresses of yourself, your parents, you workplace, the sports club or your children's school. If an incident occurs in these places and the neighborhood needs to be alerted, you will receive a notification on your phone. The zuidlimburgveilig app provides a quick and direct means of informing people. You can also mark areas of interest, such as the Meuse River, its tributaries or Chemelot chemical industrial site. Even then you will receive a push notification.
Information and helpful tips
Zuidlimburgveilig is now the central place where Safety Region South Limburg provides reliable information about incidents. Through short (blog) posts, you will be continuously informed of all developments and receive useful safety tips. Under the menu 'what to do in case of' you will find tips to be better prepared for all kinds of incidents, such as flooding, (long-term) power outages and storms. Do you yourself have flooding, no power or storm damage? The app will also tell you what to do.
