In the Year of Heerlen Heritage, local residents share their GMS stories at several meetings spread throughout the year. Each meeting has a different theme. The third meeting on Friday, March 24, will focus on the exciting, adventurous but also life-threatening life story of Heerlen resident Anno Mink. Come listen and share your story too.
On April 25, GMS dives into one of the most spectacular bank robberies in Dutch history: the 1969 crack of the ABN AMRO safe in Heerlen. A simple burglar grew into a master burglar and committed what was known at the time as "the heist of the century"!
During this special edition of Stories from GMS, you will hear the complete story, told by none other than his grandson, Daryl Mink ! A unique chance to discover how this infamous heist was carried out and what happened afterwards...
