Sales agreement In 't Wieër Hoensbroek with Cicero Care Group

The Board of Mayor & Aldermen has agreed to the sale of site In 't Wieër in Hoensbroek. On this site at the Prof. Tinbergen-/Prof. Eykmanlaan, Cicero will build one hundred care homes for the elderly. The city council will take a final decision on the sale on Wednesday, June 25. The construction will require an amendment to the environmental plan.

Because of the population composition in Hoensbroek, the initiative fits perfectly with the future care needs there. The construction of care housing in a green environment is a good interpretation for this land that has been fallow for years.

Collaboration

Cicero and the municipality will work together in the coming period to work out the plans. They will involve the neighborhood in time. It is already clear that the care complex will be built as low-rise as possible. Special attention will be paid to creating a green environment around the homes. If everything goes according to schedule, the complex will be completed in early 2029.

Valuable development

Alderman Marco Peters:
"First this location had an important function as Hoensbroek's municipal yard. And later it housed a school for special education, in 't Wieër. I am therefore very pleased that together with Cicero we are putting our shoulders under this valuable development that is in great need in Hoensbroek. And with which we can better support many seniors."

Familiar environment

Alderman Arlette Vrusch:
"It is incredibly important to continue to invest in appropriate facilities. Especially for the elderly it is important to be able to get Health in the familiar surroundings. With this we contribute to a dignified old age in Hoensbroek.''
