What silence?

Exhibition

Date:   to

Location: TheNew Gallery

Students in the Visual Communication program at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts are presenting new work inspired by "Enjoy the Silence: 40 Years of the Museum.

For this exhibition, the students explored artists and works from the SCHUNCK collection. From painting and photography to installations and other forms of visual art, the collection served as the starting point for new visual experiments and collaborations.

The students worked in groups on a collaborative project, drawing inspiration from artists such asMarlene Dumas,Rob Scholte,Natasja Kensmil,Stanley Donwood, and Koos Buster. Not only the artworks themselves, but also themes, use of materials, working methods, and personal fascinations formed the basis for their work.
