Toon Hezemans and Merlijn Huntjens have spent several days delving into the caverns of Heerlen's past as part of the Year of Heerlen Heritage! On Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14, they are happy to share the results with the city in five walks through Heerlen's sagacious past.

They visited the cemetery, a ruin, bookstores, exhibitions, the Regionaal Limburgs Archief, archeological center De Vondst, several cafes and a pizzeria in Aachen in their quest for the hidden myths and sagas of Heerlen. After all: they saw of Heële anything and everything.

On Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14, they are happy to share the results with the city in five walks through Heerlen's sagacious past.

Saturday, December 13, 2025
at 11 a.m. : Middle Ages, starting point Café Bracke, Heerlen
at 1 p.m. : Transition Time; starting point cemetery Akerstraat
at 4 p.m. : Village Time; starting point Orangery Castle Terworm

Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025
at 11 a.m. : Roman time; starting point Café Jan Cep in Amstenrade
at 4 p.m. : Mine time; starting point Ophaalbrug Kasteel Hoensbroek

The walks last about 1.5 hours and each participant will receive a file on the relevant Zage va Heële and a consumption.
