Swordfighting workshops during City-as-a-Playground Day

The Historic Fencing Guild of Limburg will be at Beta Square all afternoon Saturday, May 24, during the City-as-Splayground-Day, to provide medieval sword-fighting activities. There will be two workshops for adults, longsword and rapier. Participants will learn real medieval swordsmanship techniques from experienced fencers. For children, there are low-threshold workshops with a similar approach, only with softer materials and modified rules. In between there will be sparring sessions between the fencers present.
