Applying for guidance for school leaver

Until the age of 16, children are subject to compulsory education. They must attend school to prepare for society and the labor market. Young people who do not have a starting qualification after the age of 16 must attend school until the age of 18. A starting qualification is a diploma havo, vwo or mbo (level 2 or higher).

The counselor visits the ESL student and discusses whether the young person can return to school. Additional assistance is available if needed.

Approach

This is how you apply for counseling for a school leaver:

  • You contact the municipality or the RMC.
  • Among other things, you pass on:
    • why you need guidance
    • what guidance you need
