Are you planning to work from home professionally? Ask your local municipality if this is permitted.
Approach
First check the environmental plan to see whether you are allowed to start your business at your chosen location. Does the professional or business activity not comply with the rules of the environmental plan? Submit a request to the municipality for an exemption from the rules. You can apply for an exemption for "acting in contravention of spatial planning rules" via the Omgevingsloket (Environmental Desk). The municipality will then assess your request against the general Policy Rule on Professional and Commercial Activities in the Residential Environment.
If this is not successful, the staff at the Ondernemershuis (Entrepreneurs' House) will work with you to explore the options for applying for an environmental permit. They will also look at what steps you still need to take.
