Merging or withdrawing a property
Do you want to use a property for purposes other than living? Then you usually need an environmental permit. You can apply for this permit via the online Omgevingsloket.
Approach
Here's how to apply for an extraction permit:
- Contact the municipality.
- Among other things, you pass on:
- owner's name and address.
- data on the current situation (for example: number of rooms, living area, the condition of the house).
- data on your desired situation.
- Current and expected rent or purchase price.
You apply for an environmental permit via the Omgevingsloket. As a company, you need eRecognition for this.

Description
You need an eviction permit if you want to use a property for something other than living.
For example:
- convert the living space into business space or store
- combining multiple living spaces
- Split a property into multiple living spaces
- demolish a dwelling
Also see if your plans fit within the environmental plan. Are they not? Then you will also need an environmental permit.
To demolish your home, you must file a notification under the building code. If it is a national monument or a property located in a protected town or villagescape, you must apply for an environmental permit.
Term
For simple applications, the municipality will decide on your application within 8 weeks. For more complex applications, the municipality makes a decision within 26 weeks.
Objection and appeal
You can object to the decision on your application. Do this within 6 weeks. Do you then disagree with the decision on the objection? Then file an appeal with the court.
