The municipality offers collective health insurance. This saves you money. You can take advantage of this if you have a minimum income.

Approach

  • You can easily register online. Go to VGZ and click on your municipality. Here you will find all the information about the VGZ South Limburg package and you can register immediately.
  • Can't apply online? Then request an application form from VGZ by telephone. You can return this form free of charge, together with a copy of your passport, identity card or residence permit.

If you switch, you must not be in arrears with your current health insurer. VGZ will take care of cancellation with your current health insurance company.

Description

The municipality offers people with an income of up to 150% of the social minimum the opportunity to participate in a collective health insurance scheme: the VGZ municipal package for South Limburg.
This insurance consists of basic insurance with either compact or comprehensive supplementary insurance. The insurance covers the statutory excess of €385 and personal contributions.

Children under 18 are co-insured for free.

The collective insurance VGZ Gemeentepakket Zuid-Limburg consists of:

  • compulsory basic insurance and
  • compact supplemental insurance (for when you use or expect to use less Health ) or
  • comprehensive supplemental insurance (if you need regular or frequent Health )

The reimbursements of the supplementary insurance of VGZ are leading for the municipality. Do you have insurance with another company and do you receive fewer reimbursements there? In that case, you cannot apply for special assistance for the difference.

Requirements

The condition for participation in the VGZ group health insurance plan:

  • You have an income of up to 150% of the social minimum.

Term

You can choose your own health insurance every year.

  • You will receive the new policy in the third week of November.
  • You can switch to a different health insurer before January 1. 
  • You have until February 1 to change your package.
