Disabled parking permit application

With a disabled parking card you are allowed to park in disabled parking spaces in 31 countries in Europe. There are 3 different Maps :

• Driver card (B): Do you have a disability and do you drive a car yourself? Then you can apply for a driver card. On the Map there is no license plate. You can Map use in any car.
• Passenger card (P): Do you have a disability and depend on transportation by others? Then apply for a passenger card.
• Institutions Card (I): Allows healthcare institutions to transport residents with disabilities.

The driver card and passenger card are in your name. Only you can use the Map so use it. You can use the Map There is no license plate on it.

If you are sometimes a driver and sometimes a passenger, you can apply for a combination card. You then request a Map for both situations. 

The most important Requirements To apply for a disabled parking card for a driver or passenger:

• You cannot walk 100 meters in a row and
• You drive the vehicle yourself (driver's license), or
• You depend on the assistance of the driver (passenger card) from door to door. 

A medical examination may be part of your application.
Do you already have a disabled parking permit? If so, renew it on time. A new medical examination may be required. Apply for renewal at least 2 months before your disabled parking permit expires.

The municipality will decide on your application within 8 weeks. Is this not possible? Then the municipality may extend this period 1 time.

Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? Then you can file an objection. With this you let the municipality know why you disagree with the decision. Do this within 6 weeks. The municipality will review your application and make a new decision.

After that, do you still disagree with the municipality's decision? Then you can ask the court whether the municipality made a good decision. This is called "lodging an appeal.
