Want to make your voice heard? Good plan! Voting is important. It's how you help decide who gets influence. Here is what you need to know before you go to the polling station.

Date and time
You can vote on March 18 between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

What do you take?
Your voting card and a valid ID (passport, Map or driver's license, max. 5 years expired).
Polling stations
Where can you go to vote? You can do so in all polling stations. Some stations are also accessible for people with reduced mobility or disabilities. You will find out where the polling stations are on the websites a few weeks before the elections:
Voting aids
Who will you vote for? To make that choice easier, there is a voting guide. A voting guide shows which issues are at stake in the elections and how the political parties feel about them. The voting guide is usually ready a few weeks before the elections. In addition, Heerlen has a website called 'Heerlen kiest' (Heerlen chooses). There you can read all about the political parties and the candidates.
