To end a registered partnership, you go to a notary or lawyer. In some cases, you must go to court with your lawyer. The registered partnership is not terminated until it is entered in the registers of civil status.

A registered partnership also ends if:

  • You have no children under the age of 18.
  • You both want to end the registered partnership.

Term

The agreement (via notary or lawyer) must be registered with the civil registry within 3 months. A court order must be registered with the civil registry within 6 months.
