Report an environmental incident

For some harmful activities carried out by your company, you do not need to apply for an environmental permit. An environmental notification is sufficient in such cases.

Approach

How to report an incident:

  • Go to the Environment Desk.
  • Perform the permit check.
  • You will see whether you need to report it.
  • You log in.
  • The Omgevingsloket will indicate which information you need to provide. This could include, for example:
    • an acoustic report
    • a soil investigation report
    • a scent report
    • an energy report

Does the permit check indicate that you need an environmental permit? If so, you can also apply for this via the Environmental Permit Desk.

An environmental report is free of charge.

Description

Companies that may cause damage to the environment must report certain activities. These include cafés, restaurants, garages, transport companies, gas stations, and shops. In some cases, you may also need an environmental permit.

Companies that have a significant impact on the environment always require an environmental permit.

Requirements

The Requirements submitting a notification can be found via the Omgevingsloket (Environment Desk).

Term

You must submit a notification at least 4 weeks in advance. You must apply for a permit at least 8 weeks in advance.

Objections and appeals

No objection or appeal is possible against a notification.
