Environmental notification
You do not need to apply for an environmental permit for some of your company's harmful activities. An environmental notification is then sufficient. You do this through the Activities Decree Internet module.

Approach
How to file a report:
- Go to the Environment Counter.
- Do the permit check.
- You will see if you need to file a notification.
- Log in:
- for yourself: with DigiD
- For a company: with eRecognition
- The Environment Counter indicates what information you need to submit. This could be, for example:
- an acoustic report
- a soil investigation report
- an odor report
- an energy report
Does the permit check indicate that you need an environmental permit? If so, this can also be done through the Environment Counter.
Cost
An environmental notification is free of charge.
Description
Businesses that may cause damage to the environment must report some activities. These include cafes, restaurants, garages, transport companies, gas stations and stores. Sometimes you also need an environmental permit.
Businesses with large-scale environmental impacts always need an environmental permit.

The conditions for making a notification can be found through the Environment Desk.
Term
A notification must be made at least 4 weeks in advance. You must apply for a permit at least 8 weeks in advance.
Objection and appeal
A notification is not subject to objection and appeal.
