Register party name for municipal elections
A political party or group must register if it wants to run for election under a particular name.
Approach
This is how you register a political party or group:
- Download the registration form from the Electoral Council website.
- Fill out the form.
- Send the completed form and requested documents to the Electoral Council.
You need this to register a political group:
- a copy of the notarized deed containing the rules of the association
- proof of registration in the commercial register of the Chamber of Commerce
- proof of payment of the deposit
- the valid declaration of the political group appointing the proxy and the deputy proxy to the central electoral committee
