Why is your voice important?
The decisions of the political parties are important for your personal life. They decide on matters that affect everyone, from young to old. Think for example of work for young people, opening hours of shops and cafés, the redevelopment of your neighbourhood, education and the construction of new homes. So use your right to vote and vote for the party that suits you best! In this way you let us know what is important to you.
When are elections?

How does voting work?
If there are elections in the Netherlands, you can cast your vote. Below you will see step by step how to do that.

You will receive a call
2 to 3 weeks before the election, you will receive a voting card and candidate list.

You go to a polling station
Bring your voting card as well as a valid ID. You will then receive your ballot paper.

Votes will be counted
You may come and watch as we count all the votes after the polling stations close.

The results will be announced
The official result is after a checkup one or a few days later.
