Placing ashes and urns

Costs of placing an ash container or urn (2026):

Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays) between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.:

• for a child up to 1 year old or a stillborn child: €66.20
• for a child aged 1 to 12: €131.70
• for a person aged 12 or older: €328.70

After 3 p.m., we increase these costs by €167.00, and €31.70 is added for each subsequent quarter hour.

Surviving relatives often have their own wishes or ideas for burial or the destination of ashes. Or the deceased may have expressed these wishes themselves before their death. Municipal cemeteries are able to accommodate many of these wishes.
