Visitor parking in permit area

Are you receiving visitors? You can arrange parking for your visitor online. Register your visit via the visitor section of the online parking counter on your smartphone, tablet or computer. Your advantage: you pay by the minute, for as long as your visitor parks and at a reduced rate.

You can make your request yourself using your smartphone, tablet, iPad or computer at the online counter.

Apply for one-time visitor scheme first

Before you can arrange your visitor's parking online, you must first request the visitor's scheme product from the online parking counter: parkeren.heerlen.nl. Create an account and request it once:

  1. Go to the online parking counter at parking.heerlen.nl
  2. Log in with your DigiD or E-recognition (for companies).
  3. Please provide your email address.
  4. Confirm your e-mail address in your mail inbox: You will receive an email with a verification code.
  5. Enter this code and confirm.
  6. You can get started right now in the online parking counter.
  7. Select the "visitor arrangement" product.
  8. You will receive an email with a report code and a pin code. NOTE: Keep these well, because you will always need them if you want to sign in visitors!

Top up your parking credit

Before your first use, you must top up your parking credit. This can be done through the menu you see when you press the three dashes in the top left of the screen and choose 'Top Up'.

After that, you can log in and out of your visit at any time:

  1. Go to the visitor scheme counter on the web page: parking.heerlen.nl/DVSportal (This link is also in the email you received when you applied for the visitor scheme).
  2. Log in with the notification code and PIN that are in this email.
  3. Enter the license plate number of your visit and the time your visit is coming.
  4. The system itself fills in a visit duration of 2 hours. You can change this if you wish.
  5. You can also cancel the visit if they leave early. That way you won't pay too much.

Having trouble with digital things or no Digid or Ideal?

The new system is user-friendly for people who are regularly online. Do you have difficulty with digital matters? Then please call the customer contact center of municipality Heerlen tel. 045-5605040.
If you do not have DigiD or iDeal: Then you can make an appointment (online) at our public counter. Bring proof of identity and your BSN number. After filling out a form and checking your identity, we will mail you the details to log in and apply.

Cost

Rates 2024

€0.40 per visitor per hour.
You can put an amount on your account in advance to pay for this visitor parking.
Per quarter you can purchase a maximum of 96 parking hours for visitor parking. You can also purchase an additional 96 hours for informal care.

At the Eikenderveld trial, visitor parking is free.

Description

To apply for the visitor scheme, you do not need to have a car or a parking permit. You can purchase up to 96 parking hours per quarter. You can also allow multiple visitors to park at the same time.

Do you need informal care? Then you can apply for extra hours (96 per quarter) at the counter. These extra hours for informal care can be applied for in the same way as regular visitor parking. see 'Do and bring'.

Terms

All information and conditions can be found in the Parking Taxes Ordinance , in the Designation Decree and in the Ordinance on the Use of Parking Spaces and the Granting of Parking Permits.

Term

Visitor parking starts immediately after you sign in. The minute you sign out your visit, visitor parking stops.
The system chooses two-hour parking when you sign in. You can adjust this yourself. If the visit leaves earlier, you can sign out the visit through the online counter.

In Eikenderveld, visitor parking is free during the trial. If the visit stays longer than two hours of free parking, please register the visit again.
