It is prohibited to park a caravan along the road for an extended period of time.

Is your trailer or caravan not participating in traffic for more than 5 consecutive days? And you still want to park it? Then apply for an exemption from the municipality.

You may not park a caravan alongside the road for an extended period of time. This includes:

  • a camper
  • an RV
  • a warehouse trolley
  • a trailer
  • a boxcar

In Heerlen, you may not park along the road for more than 5 consecutive days without using your caravan.

Requirements

The Requirements for parking a caravan on the road are:

  • the caravan does not occupy a parking space for too long
  • the views of local residents will not be disturbed
  • the caravan looks (reasonably) good
