Housing permit for tenants
Are you looking to rent a home in Heerlen? In that case, you’ll usually need a housing permit. In some neighborhoods, you only need a permit if you’re renting from a private landlord. In neighborhoods where the Parkstad Act (Wbmgp) applies, you’ll always need one. The municipality of Heerlen wants to improve its neighborhoods. We want a diverse range of people to live in these neighborhoods. This creates open and diverse neighborhoods that offer opportunities. The Parkstad Act helps us achieve this. We carefully assess who is eligible to rent a home there. Prospective tenants can only rent a home there if they have a housing permit.
Approach
- Has a home been assigned to you? Then apply for a housing permit. The landlord will provide you with the information you need for your application.
